Mission Bay is the center of water activities in San Diego where you can easily arrange for rentals including wave runners, kayaks, surf & boogie boards, sail boats and speed boats.
Mission Beach offers surfing year round with larger waves in the winter, but cleaner conditions and warmer water in the summer. Our vacation rentals also offer convenient access to the world famous reef breaks of La Jolla and Sunset Cliffs, as well as such famous breaks as Tourmaline Surf Park, Windansea Beach, Bird Rock and much more. Nearby hiking includes Cowles Mountain, Cabrillo National Monument and Torrey Pines State Park among others.
Another fun attraction found in Mission Beach is Belmont Park with the world famous Giant Dipper roller coaster built in 1925 as well as other fun rides and games for the kids. Belmont Park is also home to The Wave House, conveniently located right on the boardwalk, where you can enjoy a relaxing meal & drinks with friends, or if you are more daring, surf or boogie board the world famous “Flow Rider” wave machine. Enjoy numerous boutiques all along Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach, as well as Seaport Village & Horton Plaza in Downtown San Diego
Also, for history buffs, San Diego is home to the first Mission in Alta California, Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala. Old Town San Diego is home to even more history offering a look at San Diego and the wild west long ago.
Mission Beach
Mission Beach is the stretch of land or sandbar between the Pacific Ocean and Mission Bay. Among the many qualities that make Mission Beach such a great vacation destination is that you are never far from the beach or the bay and you can walk just about anywhere with the community on the ocean front boardwalk or the bayside boardwalk. Mission Beach has plentiful restaurants, bars and nightlife offering a wide array of choices from fast food to fine dining and hole in the wall bars to multi level beach clubs. The majority of our vacation rentals are on bay front and oceanfront on Mission Beach and Mission Bay. We offer everything from basic vacation rentals to luxury vacation rentals and beach houses. The beach front and the oceanfront boardwalk offer a livelier atmosphere while the bay front units offer a more tranquil environment.
Ocean Beach
Ocean Beach is the laid-back beach town on the south side of the jetty from Mission Beach. Ocean Beach, like Mission Beach, offers its visitors an abundance of stores, restaurants and nightlife without having to leave the neighborhood. It is famous for its laid-back residents and environment.
Pacific Beach
Pacific Beach consists of the beaches directly north of Mission Beach from Pacific Beach Drive to the southern cliffs of La Jolla and Birdrock. The Pacific Beach community offers more shopping and restaurants than Mission Beach and one of San Diego's major nightlife scenes on Garnet Avenue.
Theme Parks
San Diego is home to some of the world's most famous parks including SeaWorld, The San Diego Zoo, The Wild Animal Park and Lego Land. All are easily accessible with SeaWorld in particular being located within Mission Bay Park.

Poinsettia Bowl March Through the Gaslamp
Festivities for the 2009 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl kick off in downtown San Diego's historic Gaslamp Quarter at 6 p.m., Monday, December 21st. Marching bands and spirit squads from the participating universities will parade from each end of 5th Avenue performing holiday classics, and meeting up at Market Street for a heart-pounding Battle of the Bands! After the dust has settled at Market Street, bands will continue on with their parade of holiday favorites. The event is free for spectators.

San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl
The 2009 Poinsettia Bowl features an exciting match up between the #23 ranked Utah Utes from the Mountain West and the Cal Bears of the Pac 10 Conference. This should be an exciting game that rivals last year's epic showdown between undefeated Boise State and TCU.

The scenic, bayside streets of downtown San Diego will come alive with "America's Largest Balloon Parade" at the 2009 Port of San Diego Big Bay Balloon Parade, presented by San Diego County Credit Union.
Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, 5PM
The University of Arizona Wildcats and University of Nebraska Cornhuskers will square off in the 32nd annual Pacific Life Holiday Bowl, 2009. The game kicks off at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30th at Qualcomm Stadium. The game is a rematch of the 1998 Holiday Bowl, when the Wildcats overcame a third quarter deficit and defeated the Huskers 23-20 in front of 65,354 fans
